Hi!

WOULD YOU BE SO KIND TO EMAIL A PICTURE OF YOUR PASSPORT BEFORE ARRIVAL? THANK YOU! contact@ loveboards.com
To have some ‘pre fun’ follow and like us on Facebook and Instagram for updates about how awesome Tarifa is at the moment!
With booking you agreed on the reservation and cancellation policy
Here is already a lot of info to make your stay as nice as possible!
time of arrival: Normally nobody is at home during the day because we are kiting and surfing so it’s important we arrange an estimate time of arrival or send you the self check-in info a day before you come and an update when you know the exact time you arrive, so please call or text (+34 633769 868) or WhatsApp (+31 625062428) when you get on the bus, drive away for the airport etc. Thank you!
check out time: the check out time is 11.00hrs. So please be sure to leave your room empty and leave the keys back on the door of your room. In case you like to leave your luggage in the house, use the kitchen or shower later after a last kite of surf session please let us know and we give you the code of the lockbox in case you don’t have it.
the address: The house is at Avenida de Andalucia 20 => Andalucia plaza. Vivienda nr 10.
visual directions:
This is the gate to the old town (Puerta de Jerez), both roads into Tarifa lead to this gate.

so if you see the gate, the house is more in the direction of the ocean you see at the end.
This is the entrance to the courtyard, at the right corner of the building is the Yoigo shop. Above the doors is a blue Centro Medico lighted cross. When you pass the first glass door into the courtyard you see two glass doors on the right, there you can ring Vivenda nr 10. The house is at the 1st (and 2nd) floor to the right.

Parking
There is free parking in the streets around the house. Exception is blue (paid, but they took away the machines to pay) and yellow (not allowed) lines. Just check if there is space at the house but if not navigate this way to plaza de Toros where there is a bigger parking. At and around Plaza de Toros there is a market on Tuesday so then you can not park there. Outside of August parking near the house is never a problem. In August you might have to walk five minutes, just avoid coming home at spanish dinner time.

Kite buddy
At the house you’ll be welcomed by our kitebuddy Guapa. She welcomes everyone like they are long lost friends and is the kind of dog that attracts small kids because she is so sweet and careful to play with. She joins the kiting sessions and there is no more loyal spectator. So even when you are not a dog fan she will steal your heart! Make sure you NEVER leave the front door open and never let her outside the front door, the neighbour dogs attack her. If she ever barks it’s because they are near, she is really afraid after she got attacked.
FACILITIES
We have enough towels and sheets to use. So you don’t have to bring your own. There are two bathrooms and towels you can take from the upstairs bathroom. The large kitchen has everything you need, including a Nespresso coffee machine. You have your own space to leave your groceries. Empty plastic bottels you don’t have to return to the super market but please put them in the yellow recycle bins outside. You can drink the water from the tap.
Please leave everything clean and throw towels that are dirty in the wash basked in the hallway. If you miss anything or see something dirty please let us know!!
There is Wifi, code to be found in the hallway!
There is a lot of sand in the house anyway but if you leave a trail it’s nice to sweep some. There is one bathroom downstairs with a shower. Next to it you can dry your harness, wetsuit and leave other wet sandy gear (clean up after please) etc. Outside we not recommend, neighbours don’t like that. Upstairs there is the second bathroom with a hot tub, don’t leave wet stuff there please and keep the door open after use, otherwise it gets humid.
We have 3 light double rooms, one with two separate beds, one with a 2 person bed and one which has a very comfortable 2 person bed and a bed-couch. If you need two separate beds let us know before. The rooms have a small desk and all is basic and clean.
The beds are made and more blankets etc available. If you would like a change of sheets during your stay just let us know. There is a cleaning lady so if you like to have your room cleaned just ask when she comes and we’ll ask her to clean your room as well. The rooms have locks. It’s important to leave the window open during the day though because of the humidity in the Tarifa air.
We have ventilators, airconditioning is not really needed as the nights in Tarifa are not very hot.
REMOTE WORKING:
Looking for the best place to work? Check out B-Sharing Tarifa !
Air-conditioned in summer, heated in winter. Great facilities, call booth and even a meeting room, B-Sharing has it all! Free coffee and tea, close to the house, air-conditioned in summer, heated in winter. Easy to book your spot and nice to meet fellow remote workers and digital nomads!
KITING:
Independent kiter
Between mid june and mid september you are not allowed to kite in town. During this period we kite at behind camping Rio Jara. The good thing is that there are ‘New Angels’ who help you in case of emergency with offshore wind but for that you need a Rescue card and register it online. You can buy them at kite shops.
You can also go kiting further at Valdevaqueros with offshore wind (the big dune is there to catch you with offshore wind) and with more thermic wind when it’s onshore.. but we usually mainly only when we need to, it’s very crowded in summer.
We work with awesome people and the best teachers to learn to kite, rent gear, have supervision etc. Be sure to book before you come to Tarifa because they are quickly fully booked!
Check here for more info. This is the website of Kite Fun, the amazing school we work with. You can book lessons directly or let us know.
WHAT ELSE TO DO:
Longboard (skate) lessons Perfect for non windy days! prices € 15 pp for group (3+), € 30 for private, and you can rent also a board without lessons if you stay in the house, € 15 per day.
Surf board rental and lessons We have surfboards in our house which can be used for free (please bring them back rinsed). Also we can give surf classes which are 45 € for a private lesson.
Spanish lessons Perfect to combine training your brain and your body at the same time! Just contact lovely Sofia Quintana directly. She is the best!
Breathwork is also highly recommendable!
Here you can find A LIST OF RECOMMENDED PLACES, HIKES ETC
would be sweet to rate the Love Boards house when you are on there 😉 )
FOOD & DRINKS:
There is a small grocery store at the right back corner of the building but there are bigger supermarkets nearby. On the side of the building there is also a take away (until 16.00) for warm home made Spanish dishes at Manoli. For breakfast, lunch and the best coffee and mojito’s in town you can go to Bossa Bar (through the gate to the old town immediately at the left). For breakfast you can also go to Cafe Tarifa (also for live music and salsa at night), Andreas Brunch (highly addictive) and Bonjour Tarifa. The best place out of town is Power House on the Carretera Nacional in direction Cadiz, at the WET store. Very highly recommended to go for dinner: For the best local fish and meat you have to go to Meson Picoteo. For tapa’s we go a lot to La Burla and for fusion to Mic Moc restaurant both at the harbour. Also highly recommendable are Raizes and Mandragora. For drinks and food check out Spirit of Kanaloa (replacing Surfbar Tomatito, same people) and also for drinks and fussball check Exit and the other bars at the same square.
There are also beach parties at Waves bar and Jam sessions at Afrikana. Just check their instagram feeds and you’ll see.
How to get to Tarifa from Malaga or Sevilla?
Rent a car (!!)
Recommended is to rent a car because Tarifa and other surrounding towns have many spots that are varying depending on the wind direction and strength.
You can take a year long European rental car insurance at: i carhire insurance that can save you a lot of money. When you book a car without this be sure you know the total costs including insurance to not have surprises when you pick it up.
Be sure to take a creditcard with you when you pick a rental car up at the airport and reserve a car in advance. To rent a car without a credit card check Record Cars here. You can compare prices here: Rental Cars. All rental car rental companies in Malaga seem to be customer unfriendly, just smile and make sure to have read all booking info in advance. We have tried Goldcar, Firefly and Record. ONLY Record did not seem to have hidden costs. Gold Car and Firefly took money after or before for random stupid things, not mentioned in any contract or at the Rental car site, I would avoid these companies.
Public transport
By bus Comes or Avanza: bus from Malaga: Airport -> Algeciras -> Tarifa or Airport -> central bus station Malaga -> Tarifa bus from Sevilla: Airport -> Sevilla central busstation -> Tarifa. (it’s also possible and closer if you can fly to Gibraltar or Jerez) By train but only when you like to visit Ronda, because this is a 3.45 h train trip from Malaga to Algeciras which has a transfer in Ronda.
Busses to the beaches are only going in July and August, not sure how reliable they are and if you can go with all your gear. Here you find more information about the time schedule.
Spots: check for which spot when -> Wind and Waves
cheers, see you soon and have a good trip!
